I was tagged by , and it seems like this would be my first journal entry. Well then, let's get it started:


1. What was your FIRST Video Game Console?

My old Gameboy. Yep, as most of the consoles in this era, a grey brick. With some black pixels on a green screen. I Loved it

2. Name a few Games you played on said console.

Tetris, Tetris Attack (no resemblance with tetris, just a random puzzler with some Nintendo characters in it) and Pokemon Yellow. Lol.

3. Excluding handhelds, how many consoles do you own at the moment?

Uhm... actually one. My Wii.

4. Were you a Street Fighter nut? If so, any character in particular?

Nope, I never was a Beat'em'up fan. Oh, and I suck at them.

5. Do you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with
"creating characters that looks so good you forget to focus on the game."

Jep, Viewtiful Joe is damn sexy.
OK, seriously, Capcom made some awesome games and for sure awesome characters. But I usually keep the focus on the former ones

6. Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?

They touch my stuff, they wash their hands. That easy. I hate it when my stuff is greasy.

7. What’s your favorite RPG/Action RPG? I will allow a second and third fave if you insist.

I'm not really the RPG player, so I abstain from this question. I think the last real RPG I played was Oblivion.
Damn I need to get a good RPG, I'd like to play one now. ^^

8. Do you prefer 2D games or 3D games?

I prefer good games. Either can be good, the graphics don't matter that much for me. Tough I prefer good 2D graphics than bad 3D graphics, since they look horrible. But in the end I think it's the amount of love the developers put in their designs which makes the difference between good and bad graphics.

9. Are you an SNK fan?

I love Metal Slug. Hard like hell, but awesome. Also actually the game with one of my favourite 2D pixel graphics. The details they put in the design are amazing.

10. Are you good at DDR?

Sure, as good as in real dancing. So... nope.

11. Who wants to kick that dog's ass from Duck Hunt?

I think most of the people. Including me. I think the first time I played it I tried to shoot the dog before one of the ducks.

12. Have you skipped out on important events in life because of video games?

No, I don't think so. Okay, maybe I was late the one or the other time because of video games.

13. Do you listen to video game music?

Sure.

14. Have you ever cosplayed a VG character?

Nope, I never did a cosplay before. Tough I'm actually planning to do one, but not a VG character.

15. Have you ever been in an arcade playing a fighting game, KICKING ASS, and then some 6 year old Asian kid comes in and OWNS YOU??

No.

16. Name three games you would love to see remakes of if it was done properly.

I don't think good games need remakes as long as you can still play them in some way.

17. Mario or Sonic?

18. When a movie shows up in the theaters, let's use Spider-man as an example, are you likely to buy the GAME version?

Let's be honest, most movie-conversions suck and just try to get some more money from the licence.

19. What is your LEAST favorite genre of video games? (ex. fighting, sports, shooters, etc.)

I never liked Sport games like football or such. Also I'm not a fan of race simulations.

20. Is there a game out there that you feel was unique and didn't get enough love?

I'm actually quite sure there is, but it doesn't come to my mind. Seems like it doesn't even get enough love from me

21. Have you ever verbally abused a game because you couldn't beat one of the levels and/or bosses?

I have, but mostly I'm quite quiet when I'm playing alone. But better give your kids ear protectors if you're letting them play Mario Kart or Super Smash Brothers with me

22. Do you own any VG apparel?

No, actually not.

23. What are your thoughts on the live-action Super Mario Bros movie?

Mostly bullshit I think. But nearly failed so hard that it would be a win.

24. On that note, what did you think about the live-action Street Fighter movie?

Would it be as bad as the mortal kombat movie or the DOA movie? If former, then it would be quite amusing.

25. Who's hottest out of the KOF chicks?

I don't really know those so I have no idea.

26. Do you say "old-school" a lot when you're having a VG conversation with others?

Not a lot, but sometimes I guess...

27. Have you ever lent someone a game and they returned it to you damaged?

I don't think so, but I never got my Splinter Cell 3 back. Damn I want to play it now! But I don't see the person I lent it to anymore, so I think I wont play it in next time...

28. Do you own any imported games?

I'm not quite sure, but I don't think so.

29. Are you ready for this meme to be over, or could you keep going?

Gotta sleep soon, but I sure won't give up now.
